Brick walls and wooden roof frame erected on a new house under construction. This photograph shows the Bunting's family home being built in Springvale Road, circa 1956. When the Bunting family moved from their poultry farm in Clarke Road, they built a new house in Springvale Road in 1956. Robert Bunting was a manager of a hardware store in Springvale at this time. His daughter Janet remembers 'A concrete mixer of ready mix concrete had gotten bogged out the front of the house and had to let the cement go to get the truck towed out. There was a huge mound of ready mix cement. Robert was at work, so wasn't there to fix the problem. The cement was allowed to set in a mountain that took years to remove. The family planted plants all over it to try and hide it.' Their Holden family car is out the front.
