They moved in together to a house in Footscray after they left the hostel. Maureen was pregnant with her first child, and her hands are just visible to the left. The Poncell family later moved to Alphington. This photograph was probably taken at Christmas time. The Diaz family had been in Australia for three years, having emigrated from Chile to escape the political regime there.
