Description of Content
Two boys standing on corner of cobbled laneway. There is a girl peeping around the corner of a brick terrace house behind them. This photograph shows Phillip and Angelo Andrianakis standing on a street corner, cobblestones underfoot, Fitzroy, circa 1962. According to the family: 'This photograph was taken in the winter school holidays, on the corner of James and Fitzroy Streets, Fitzroy. In the foreground is Phillip (7) and Angelo (4) Andrianakis. A student was taking a series of photos of children at play. The photographer returned the following week and gave the contributor a print. The boys used to steal lead off roofs and sell it for scrap for pocket money. They had been getting scrap when approached by the photographer.'
