This photograph shows Jim Kelly outside his store, Northcote Leathergoods, in High Street Northcote, in the late 1920s, or early 1930s. His family remembers: 'Jim was a son of John Kelly, a St Kilda saddler. Like his brothers he would have been apprenticed in his father's saddlery business, and he worked with saddlery and leather all his life.'
