Owner outside Northcote Leathergoods Store, Northcote. He is wearing a waistcoat, pants, shirt and tie. There are rackets in the front window. This photograph shows Jim Kelly outside his store, Northcote Leathergoods, in High Street Northcote, in the late 1920s, or early 1930s. His family remembers: 'Jim was a son of John Kelly, a St Kilda saddler. Like his brothers he would have been apprenticed in his father's saddlery business, and he worked with saddlery and leather all his life.'
