Memorial card of John Kelly, showing portrait, flowers and text, 'In Memoriam'. This is a memorial card for John Kelly, who died on Christmas Day, 1900. He was a resident of St Kilda for 33 years, running a saddlery business. John Kelly came to Australia from Ireland with his brothers and sister Peter, Michael and Elizabeth in 1864. After three years he set up his saddlery business in St Kilda. He ran the business until he died. The business kept going until 2000 when his grandson Matthew Kelly jnr. died. He had made harnesses for the Clydesdales for Carlton & United Breweries.
