Summary
Friends Lorraine and Margaret Fly, and Nola Russell, sitting on the closed 'dickie seat' of the family car, knitting, Caulfield, in 1948. The car was parked outside 15 Hillside Avenue, Caulfield - Nola's home. The photograph was possibly taken by Nola's father, Fred Russell. The tree in the nature strip is an Australian pincushion hakea which Nola's parents planted. She remembers in 2019: ' We all loved riding in the dickie seat of this old Chevvy - a 1930s one I think.'
