Massed crowds trying to get on board to visit a war ship berthed at pier. This photograph shows the crowd on a pier attempting to see the Japanese warship 'Asama', probably at Princes Pier, Port Melbourne, February 1924. The photograph was taken by Ronald Cheers, who along with thousands of others visited these naval ships during their stay in Port Melbourne.
