This photograph shows Marine Chief Engineer Derek Moore and his two children Susanne and Derek jnr at Frankston Beach, circa 1956. Derek Moore snr was Chief Engineer of Ports and Harbours on the vessel 'SS Rip', visible in the background. The children would go on a daily visit on weekends to visit their father stationed at Frankston Pier.
