Description of Content

This stereograph shows twin images of a girl in a white dress and sun-hat standing with a 'pointer' in front of a black board, mimicking a teacher, in a suburban garden. Two small boys are watching as her 'pupils'. This stereograph shows a girl with a blackboard and pointer 'teaching' two boys arithmetic in a suburban backyard with toys replicating a play 'school room'. This stereograph came from a collection of Melba Ryan's grandparents, Josephine and Martin Nowlan. A lot of them were bought around Federation as souvenirs. They were passed down to Melba's mother, Doris Holden, who passed them down to her.
