Description of Content
A man holding a baby while balancing on a 'slack wire'- children watch him. This photograph shows Francis Holden holding one of his sons and balancing on a 'slack wire' in the early 1940s. According to the family: 'The children in the background would be the local children, gathered around. The kids would always come to have a look while the circus was in town. Francis would have been practicing at the time. Doris Holden took the photograph, like always. Francis taught himself the slack wire, could ride a bike and juggle, and play with a hoop on it.' The location is unknown.
