Summary
'The Last Coins' set was issued in 2004 pending the introduction of the European Union currency, the Euro. In 2010, the forint was still in use in Hungary. The set includes : 1,2, 5, 10, 20, 50,100 forint coins, issued 1996-2003.
Hungarian coinage originated in the reign of King St Stephan, who reigned from 1000-1038.
Physical Description
Set is stored in a plastic page insert. Within the set there is a card which records the national flag and basic national information on the front. However, the coins show the reverse side. On the back, the card shows a map of Europe, with the country highlighted, and the coat of arms. The coins show the obverse side. The coin set is stored in an album containing the other 2004 'Last Coins' sets and bank notes. The coin set is on the same page as its corresponding bank note.
