Summary
The 'Gift of Hope' poem was written by Rhonda Abotomey who lost family in the February 2009 bushfires. It was read by the Victorian Premier, John Brumby, at the first anniversary memorial service for the Black Saturday Bushfires, held at St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne on 7 February 2010. The poem was edited by Laura Brearley.
This forms part of the Victorian Bushfires Collection, which also includes a collection of writings and postcards created by Rhonda Abotomey.
