Colour photograph of the interior of the Centennial Hall meeting room 2, the convention centre auditoirum, arranged in the hollow circle conference set-up as it was for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) held at Centennial Hall between 30 September and 7 October 1981.

This is one of 959 photographs (or images) of the Exhibition Building collated by the Exhibition Trustees as a 10 volume pictorial history of the Exhibition Building spanning the years 1880 to 1985. The pictorial history was instigated by the centenary of the Exhibition Building in 1980 and forms part of a larger Royal Exhibition Building collection of documents, photographs, objects and research files.

Physical Description

A colour photographic print on a page of a photograph album. The image depicts Centennial Hall's meeting room 2, the Convention Centre Auditorium, in the same set-up as it was arranged for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting held in September and October 1981. The room is orange carpeted with a large hollow circle table with chairs placed centrally in the room. On the table are name plates denoting the seating for the various commonwealth countries attending. Those visible include Sri Lanka, Solomon Islands, Singapore, Sierra Leone, Seychelles and St Lucia. There is a printed caption below the photograph.
