This is one of 959 photographs (or images) of the Exhibition Building collated by the Exhibition Trustees as a 10 volume pictorial history of the Exhibition Building spanning the years 1880 to 1985. The pictorial history was instigated by the centenary of the Exhibition Building in 1980 and forms part of a larger Royal Exhibition Building collection of documents, photographs, objects and research files.

Description of Content

Colour photograph of the Yugoslavia exhibit at the Melbourne International Centenary Exhibition held at the Royal Exhibition Buildings, Melbourne, between 23 September and 5 October 1980. Above the entrance to the exhibition space is various signage written in yugoslav while visible among the exhibits are examples of traditional textiles, food produce and JAT Airways, the former national carrier of Yugoslavia and current national carrier of Serbia. A trade model of a DC 10, adopted by JAT only a few years prior in 1978, carries the JAT logo on the tailplane used between 1963-1994.
