Item PH 5966 Letter Card - 2 Pence, Tasmania, Australia, 1900

Summary

Tasmania letter card printed with 2 Pence (2d) Tasmanian stamp depicting scene of Hobart. Unused. Letter cards enabled the user to seal the letter without needing an envelope. The recipient opened the letter card by tearing along the perforations.

Physical Description

Light-green-coloured folded card. At the top, British Coat of Arms with TASMANIA LETTER CARD printed below it. 2 d Tasmanian stamp depicting scene of Hobart. view of Launceston printed on reverse. Unused. Gummed and perforated on three sides.
