Physical Description
Cream-coloured envelope. On the left side of envelope is printed and typed text above an illustration of a man with a sled and two dogs in an Antarctic scene, including perhaps a glacier and the Aurora Australis. Below that is printed text along with the logo WCS. On the right of the envelope, there is the Postmark A.N.A.R.E. MACQUARIE IS. AUST 6DEC61, as well as the 5 d. 50 th Anniversary of 1911 Antarctic Expedition stamp containing a photograph of Douglas Mawson.
