Paper tape was a reliable and inexpensive (although slow) method of loading and storing programs, prior to magnetic discs and tapes, and was still in use in the 1970s.

Physical Description

A length of grey paper tape folded like a fan with punched holes along its length. There are arrows and text printed in red ink along one side of the tape and handwritten text in blue marker pen on the rear of the tape. A white label with handwritten text in black pen is attached with adhesive on the front of the tape.
