Certificate printed by Mason, Firth & McCutcheon commemorating the Inauguration of the Commonwealth of Australia, 1 January 1901. It was presented to Leslie Anderson by the Town of Essendon.

Physical Description
Buff coloured card printed in full colour on obverse. Female figures of Australia and Britannia frame the side of the certificate. At the top of the certificate, the Advance Australia arms support a black and white photograph of Queen Victoria. Text is printed on the centre of the certificate, above a black and white photograph of Queen's Park in Essendon.
