Summary
A promotional leaflet with the slogan 'ADSTE is the Union for University and Colleges Technical Staff', issued by the Association of Draughting, Supervisory and Technical Employees (ADSTE) in the 1980s. The leaflet also contains a membership application. The ADSTE grew out of the Association of Architects Engineers Surveyors and Draughtsmen of Australia which was formed in Brisbane in 1915 and gained federal registration in 1944. It became the Association of Draughting Supervisory and Technical Employees in 1981, and then in amalgamated with the Amalgamated Metal Workers' Union to form the Metals and Engineering Workers' Union.
