Split slide. The image on the left shows the 'SY Discovery' with a man on the deck wearing a sailor's hat. The image on the right shows the 'SY Discovery' with a man climbing up the rigging of the ship's mast. Eric Douglas said 'Left - The Bridge looking aft and Right - A view from the foreyard looking aft'. Photographs taken during the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE), Voyage 1.
Physical Description
Two panoramic, black and white photographic transparencies, printed on a glass plate. The images are protected with a cover glass of the same size. Paper is also inserted in between the two pieces of glass and the whole slide is bound together with black paper tape.
