Description of Content

Ten BANZARE explorers are in a cabin on the Discovery. Three are lying on a top bunkbed and the others are seated below. Some are smoking pipes and cigarettes. There is a gramophone on the right and one man is holding a banjo. This was the 'Fiddley Club'. Eric Douglas said 'Out Antarctic Club - In the Top Bunk from the left - Eric Douglas, 2nd Mate Colbeck, Simmers and Lower row from the left - Stu Campbell, 'Cherub' Fletcher, Doc Ingram, 'Babe' Marr, 'Birdie' Falla, and Center two - 3rd Mate Child and Alf Howard'. Physical Description

Standard format lantern slide, consisting of two glass sheets each 3.25 x 3.25 ins (83 x 83mm), one pane bearing a positive transparent image and the other pane protecting the image. Sealed with paper binding strips around the four edges of the lantern slide and internally framed with a black cut-out window mask.
