Summary
One of ninety three images from a photograph album brought to Australia by Archibald Gordon Maclaurin when he migrated in 1928. It includes early photos of his pre-migration trips to France, as well as photos he added once in Australia, including photos sent to him by family in England, and images from his migration journey.
The scenery and people depicted in the photograph suggest this image was probably taken by Archie in Ceylon, one of the ports of call on his journey to Australia in 1928.
