Summary

Journal published by the Building Workers Industrial Union, dated Oct 1990.

The cover features a photograph of the West Gate Bridge collapse. The centre two pages contains a profile of and recollections by bridge worker Patrick Hanopy, who survived the disaster. He was one of the men who had descended from the bridge in the lift just prior to its collapse. He recalled "Then I turned back to the bridge only to see it beginning to come down. The shooting noise I heard was the sound of bolts snapping as the 2,000 tonned bridge span buckled and collapsed. We ran for our lives."
