Split negative. The left image is an aerial view of the ship Discovery with Frank Hurley, looking up at the camera lens from within the ship's barrel. The right image shows the bow of the Discovery in open water. Eric Douglas said 'Left - Captain Hurley in the Barrel - A Bird's Eye View and Right - Heading South'. Photographs taken on the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE), Voyage 1.
