Summary
This vibrant open coiled basket has horizontal bands of dyed and undyed pandanus. The two sided, coiled handles are attached in the middle of the basket on opposite sides and join together at the top. The basket has been made using wet season dyes. Colour is very important to the artists at Injalak and all materials used to produce the colours are derived from natural sources in the artists own environment.
