Physical Description
Bucket basket, coiled, with horizontal bands and interchanged paired stiches in dyed pandanus (yellow, pink, green, grey, brown and white). The coiled pandanus handle is attached in the middle of the basket on opposite sides.
Significance
Stephanie Nadjamerrek makes consistently small, tightly coiled baskets. Her trademark style of work often employs chopping colour with alternating two stiches of different colours. Her work is represented at the National Gallery of Australia.
