Summary
This basket by Amy Namarnyilk has been looped and coiled, using pandanus dyed using wet season colours. The handle on the basket, which is sometimes called kunberl or berl, is quite distinctive, and comes from the influence of missionaries.
Amy Namarnyilk produces bucket forms with movable handles, often combining looping and coiling in the same work.
