Summary
Photograph from a leather album with a tin impression of David's Tower on front cover. The album belonged to Sister Isabel Plante, a nurse at the 7th Australian General Hospital in Palestine. It was given to her by 'the boys of the no 6th Ward', Christmas 1941. The album contains 99 images, including pictures of Sister Plante and her nursing colleagues, images of patients, and tourist images of Gaza, Cairo, Jerusalem and other towns in the region. There is also a photo postcard of a nurse at Gaalbek, and a loose photo of nurses and patients in a ward of the hospital dated Christmas Day, 1943.
