Summary

A group portrait of servicemen, some in uniform, that formed a tug of war team, Seymour, August 1916. Some of the men may have formed part of the 2nd Pioneer Battalion in World War I.

Physical Description

Group portrait of servicemen (six are crouching or sitting at front), posing in front of a length of rope. Some are wearing uniforms, caps or slouch hats. NUmbers handwritten in blue ink are marked over heads of 11 of the men. Reverse has a handwritten list of men's names that correspond to the numbers, and printed text in brown ink.
