Item X 32735 Ornament, arm. Groote Eylandt, Eastern Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, Australia. 1900 - 1926

Physical Description

A circular piece of cane overwound with string into which animal fur has been spun. It has a tassel of vegetable fibre string attached with a tuft of feathers attached. The feathers are embedded in resin, most likely beeswax.
