Scrapbook that was compiled by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd. It contains approximately 100 archival items produced 1960-1961.

The items include promotional leaflets for Kodak products. The products and subjects include film, film processing, Retina and Brownie cameras, moving footage cameras and projectors, slide projectors, View-Master viewers, photo-copying equipment, micro-film equipment and medical x-ray imaging equipment. The promotional materials range in size from 582 mm x 382 mm to 74 mm x 93 mm. Some of the advertisements were intended to be published before Easter or in relation to holidays.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Large paper rectangular scrapbook with100 paper pages plus paper front and back cover, bound with 5 metal staples, containing press advertisements proofs. The proofs were printed on white paper as half page, full page and smaller clippings, and some were partly folded. The proofs were adhered with sticky tape, some are loose.
