Summary
This is a finely made basket with horizontal bands of three stranded twining and is painted with the distinctive red pigment known as miku. Unusually, the base is painted with this red ochre.

Physical Description
A twined conical basket made from pandanus with a close weave. The horizontal stripes created with three stranded twining are painted with dots using natural pigments. Remants of a multi-strand vegetable fibre string handle are attached at the rim.
