Summary
This conical twined basket made of pandanus has a relatively open weave. Its size and the quality of the weave indicates it may have been made by a young girl learning to make baskets. The vertical striping is unusual as baskets from the central region of Arnhem Land are usually painted with broad horizontal bands.
