Summary
Stab [Yaghan for close-weave basket] collected by Ms Jean Hamilton on 24 June 1929 in the company of Senor Tekenica [Ken] Williams. One of several baskets acquired from and possibly made by the two wives of Aia putilla schanaiensis [Domingo - surname not recorded]; Yamu Kauau, a tippa [older wife] and Kanuks [the younger wife, daughter of Yamu Kauau a tippa]. The Yaghan name for the basket was provided by Piedro Basuoldo of Hoste Island during interviews conducted by Ms Jean Hamilton on the same day.
