Scrapbook that was compiled by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd. It contains approximately 102 archival items produced between December 1966 - March 1972.

The contents include promotional leaflets for Kodak products. The products and subjects include: Dental X-ray Films; Kodachrome II movie film; Kodak Carousel 'S' Slide Projector; Kodak Datapak microfilm; Kodak Ektachrome Color Slide Film; Kodak Instamatic 500 camera; Kodak Instamatic M24 Movie Outfit; and, Kodak Retina camera. The promotional materials range in size from 95 mm x 50 mm to 265 mm x 205 mm. The slogans include: 'This camera has world recognition'; 'Kodak around the world ... is serving mankind and advancing scientific progress'; 'The Kodak Instamatic M18 movie camera is the easy way to make zoom movies'; 'The pictures you take are priceless ... so put your trust in Kodachrome Film'; and, 'Remember 1967 on Kodak film'.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Large paper rectangular scrapbook with 100 yellowing paper pages including paper front and back cover, bound with 5 metal staples, containing press advertisements. Some clippings glued, and others adhesive taped to pages.
