Souvenir dinner menu for a Retirement Dinner for long-time Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd employees Bob Turney, Ralph Gray and Mick Millington. The dinner was hosted at the Carlton Cricket and Football Social Club, Princes Park, Calrton, on Friday 3 February 1978 at 7.00pm.
Mr Turney was retiring after 41 years with Kodak, Ralph Gray retired after 33 years service, and Mick Millington was retiring after 30 years with the company. The complimentary dinner was provided by the men's workmates in the Emulsion Department.
The menu served several courses: 'On Arrival', 'Entree', Buffet', 'Salads' and 'Dessert'. The dinner attracted over 80 guests, including the donor of this item.
Part of a collection of research material and artefacts assembled by former Kodak Australasia employee Nigel Beale while he was writing Kodak's company history in the 1980s.
Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.This item is related to the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
