Letter written by a commanding officer in the North Staffordshire Regiment commending Private William James Latham's character. Latham enlisted with the North Staffordshire Regiment on 14 August 1908. He served with the same regiment during the First World War, and was awarded the 1914-1915 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
