Scrapbook compiled by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd. It contains approximately 95 archival items produced 1960-1975.

The archival items include promotional clippings and advertisement proofs for Kodak products. The products and subjects include audio visual equipment, film projectors, Kodak 16mm equipment, Kodak Cine Equipment, Kodak Ektagraphic Visual-maker, negative film, slide projectors, sound projectors, T.V. film processors, television Projectors and time-lapse photography. Some of the advertisements relate to Kodak products, but others promote the the use of audio-visual advertising and the benefits it may provide to business ventures.

Advertising slogans include 'How's this for odds? 22 of 23 winners of the 1966 Australian Film Awards were made on Kodak film stock. Eastman, and Kodak, the world's finest motion picture films' and 'Kodak pageant sound projectors really communicate ideas .. .they teach, they train, they sell.' Advertising material has been prepared by Kodak (Australasia) Pty Ltd or Berry Currie Advertising (Vic.) Pty Ltd.

"Moviegrams" catalogue, Broadcasting and Television Year Book, Film Producer, Film Weekly, Manufacturers Monthly, Melbourne Age, Radio and Television News, Religious Film handbook, Rydges, S.A. Teachers Journal, Sydney "Daily Telegraph" - Audio-Visual Supplement, Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, Training and development in Australia.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Large blue cardboard scrapbook with off-white canvas binding along the spine, containing 94 pages(including inside front and back cover) - though some have been cut out. Proofs are adhered to paged with sticky tape, but a number of proofs have come loose inside the scrapbook. Some pages are blank where the proofs have fallen out/been removed but the sticky tape still remains. Some advertising proofs have corrections hand-written in pencil. Many pages towards the end of the book are blank. The promotional materials range in size from 350 mm (W) x 362 mm (H) to 330 mm (W) x 280 mm (H).
