This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Physical Description

Large paper scrapbook with 104 brown paper pages, plus brown paper front and back cover, bound with cardboard and five metal staples. The scrapbook contains paper-based advertising clippings and proofs, printed in black and white as well as colour. A square white sticker is adhered to the front cover with a typed title, underlined in red ink. Another typed label is adhered to the spine. The promotional materials range in size from 382 mm (W) x 502 mm (H) to 187 mm (W) x 250 mm (H). Clippings are printed in both black and white and colour on matte and glossy paper. All clippings are attached with glue or sticky tape but many clippings have come loose in the scrapbook. There are no page numbers or indexes however occasionally a white paper label with typed text is adhered to the top centre of a page to indicate contents or publication.
