Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Large paper scrapbook with 90 brown paper pages and cover, bound with cardboard and five metal staples along the spine. A square yellow sticker is adhered to the front cover with a typed title. The book contains paper-based advertising clippings. An incomplete handwritten index in blue ink is on the inside front cover, while a typed index of all contents has been slipped into page 57. All pages are numbered in the top outer corner in blue ink. Clippings are printed in black and white and colour on both gloss and matte paper. All clippings are attached with glue and sticky tape but some are coming loose in the scrapbook, sometimes protruding from the pages. The promotional materials range in size from 98mm (W) x 132mm (H) to 204mm(W) x 278mm(H)
