Summary
Exhibitors pass to the Engineering Exhibition held at the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings in 1955. Many industries held events at the Exhibition Buildings in the 1950s, including the National Automotive Products Association (June 1955), the Australian Industries Fair(May 1955), International Motor Shows, and the Industrial Development Centenary & Jubilee Exhibition ( March 1951). Industry exhibitions were important for networking, and raising awareness of developments in engineering science and practice. Many of the industry exhibitions, including this Engineering Exhibition, were open to the general public and members of the trade.
