Summary

Signed copy of a four page contract between American film company Lomitas Productions and Melbourne car retailer Standard Cars P/L to hire their building at the Royal Show Grounds as part of the makeshift studios created there to film the motion picture 'On the Beach', based on the novel by British-Australian author Nevil Shute.

It is dated the 24th December, 1958 and is signed by the film's director Stanley Kramer and by Howard Woodfull on behalf of The Royal Agricultural Society.
