One of thirteen black and white photographs that relate to the 24th Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force (AIF), during World War I. Part of a larger collection donated by the Returned and Services League of Australia Limited (RSL).
Description of Content
The bodies of German machine gunners in the trench along the roadside at Montbrehain. They had been killed during the Australian attack in which the 21st and 24th Battalions captured the village on 5 October 1918.
