Summary
Program for the Junior Demonstration held at the Exhibition Building on 6 August 1938 as part of the 'Tenth World's Christian Endeavour Convention', held in Melbourne from 2-8 August 1938. Three-thousand children took part in the demonstration to build 'The Christian Endeavour Bridge' from Sunday School to Church. The program prescribes what children should wear - white dresses for girls, dark suits for boys - how they should behave, and what instruction to follow. At the centre of the program is the 'Christian Endeavour Bridge' pledge: Trusting the Lord Jesus Christ for strength I promise that I will try to live a Christian life Loyalty to Christ & Church Training inter-church fellowship Christian citizenship World for Christ.'
