Summary

Cardboard film box containing a small black plastic film reel. It originally housed a16mm motion film featuring a television advertisement for the Kodak Starflash camera outfit, made circa 1961.

This box is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

Physical Description

A cardboard film box with a small black plastic reel. The box is printed with black text and the green Cambridge Film Productions logo of a man in a shirt with 'C' written on it, holding a reel of film in his hand. There is a blue, red and white Berry Currie Advertising sticker adhered to the box with production details typed on it.
