Summary

A timetable for University of Melbourne Matriculation Examinations, December 1956. This timetable was issued to JM Lancaster, and informed him that his exams were to be held at the Royal Agricultural Showgrounds in Ascot Vale. Subjects under examination included economics, English expression, modern and British history and agricultural science. Many languages (eg Dutch, Russian, Japanese and French) were examined with both reading and dictation tests. This was also the first time that an English examination was introduced for Asian students.
