Summary
Photograph of the Umeewarra Mission buildings in Port Augusta, South Australia. The Umeewarra Mission Children's Home and Aboriginal Mission, on the outskirts of Port Augusta, was established by the Brethren church in 1937 and operated until recently. In the 1950s-60s between 50 and 70 children lived at the Home. In 1964 the Mission came under government control and was renamed Davenport Reserve.
