Summary
Receipt sent by the Municipalities of Victoria to the City of Richmond, acknowledging payment of £3.3.0 for the city's purchase of "Inauguration of the Commonwealth of Australia. Presentation of Joint Addresses". This was one of many souvenir publications produced following the opening of the first federal parliament of Australia which took place in the Exhibition Building on 9 May 1901.
Physical Description
White paper with writing printed in black ink. In both top corners is a decorative pattern. It has been perforated along the left side. There is also a pattern in black ink running along the right side of the page. It has a red stamp affixed to the bottom of the page in the centre.
