Staff newsletter titled 'Australian Kodakery', Issue No 2, Aug 1968, published by Kodak (Australasia) Pty Ltd, Coburg, Victoria. The series runs from Issue No 1, July 1968 to No 171, June 1985. Missing issues no 87 and 110. Normally published monthly, with some exceptions, it was succeeded by 'Kodak News', which continued numbering with no 172, July 1985.

The second edition of the 'Australian Kodakery' features an article about the Diamond Jubilee of Kodak (Australasia) Pty Ltd, titled 'It's Our Birthday' - the 60th birthday was celebrated on 06 August 1968. A brief history of Kodak in Australia is provided, as well as photographs of the original Abbotsford factory (taken in 1908), an aerial shot of the Coburg facility, and people using Kodak products - one from 1908 and the other from 1968, showing how much easier camera use is becoming. Informative articles of interest include 'Kodak Opens Branch in Canberra'; 'Branch Managers' Conference'; 'How do you get to Coburg?'; 'News from the Customer Equipment Service Department'. An article titled 'A satellite photographs the Earth' is included, with a black-and-white image taken from a NASA Applications Technology Satellite. Regular columns published include 'Kodak Around the World'; 'Employee Benefits'; 'Classified Advertisements', 'Retirements'; 'Engagements, Marriages, Births and Death'. Two light-hearted gossip and news columns are introduced in this edition - 'Coburg Chatter' and 'Bits from Branches', as well as a 'Sport, Recreation, Clubs, Hobbies' column. Photographs of note include those of the Concorde's flight (test photography), Canberra's new branch, and staff in attendance at the Distribution Seminar at Coburg, including the Chairman of the Seminar, Mr. K. E. Allen.

This document is part of the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
