Summary
T-shirt worn by Kodak Australasia production engineer Steve Brain. The t-shirt is a commemorative item for the 50th anniversary of the production of Kodacolor film in Australia by the Kodak Manufacturing Division. However, Steve Brain believes this may have been given to him by Eastman Kodak staff on one of his visits to Rochester, or perhaps one of their reciprocal visits to Coburg. Gifts like these were part of the broader Kodak culture internationally and were given as signs of collegiality and team building.
This object was donated as part of the Kodak Oral History Project. It complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
Physical Description
White t-shirt with raglan sleeve. On the front is a graphic image of film strips in black, grey and yellow with red inscriptions. Beneath that is the Kodak 'K' logo and 'Manufacturing Division Kodak Australasia'.
